Contemporary Faith
来源于《美国众神》,旧神失去了信徒,转而信仰新神(传媒之神,科技之神等)。现代,本土信仰与外来西方信仰,互联网等构成人的复杂而脆弱的精神世界。我构想一个新的信仰:由新神旧神组成,他们有相互的联系,维持人间信仰需求。借用道家咒符召唤神灵,利用现场祭祀,求符求咒的“调侃”方式再现当代的精神贫瘠。
道家的符咒暗含了平面设计中的文字图案设计。旧的咒符已经满足不了现代人的愿望需求。我通过调研与阅读传统咒符构成重新设计了新的咒符。例如治公主病,治拖延症,眼不离iPhone符咒等。利用实验性字体的设计传达主题,使其具有与趣味性功能性。
From the "American Gods", the old god lost the believer and turned to the new god (the god of media, the god of technology, etc.). Modern, local beliefs and foreign Western beliefs, the Internet and other constitute a complex and fragile spiritual world. I envision a new belief: composed of the new gods and gods, they have mutual connections and maintain the needs of human faith. Borrow the Taoist Charms to summon the gods, use the on-site sacrifices, and seek the curse of the curse to reproduce the contemporary spiritual poverty.
Taoist charms imply the design of text patterns in graphic design. The old charms can't satisfy the desires of modern people. I redesigned the new spell by investigating and reading the traditional charm. For example, treating princess disease, treating procrastination, and keeping an eye on the iPhone spell. Use the design of experimental fonts to convey themes to make them fun and functional.
